Development, Funding and Delivery

Golborne

The development of the new railway station at Golborne, Greater Manchester, is an essential project that addresses policy objectives. At the development stage, SLC Rail and AECOM, played a major part in delivering an affordable option that will be taken forward in mid-2023.

Kidderminster Station

SLC Rail supported Worcestershire County Council to deliver a new station building to meet with growing passenger demand across the Wyre Forest District, improve the customer experience and to be a transformed, attractive gateway between Kidderminster and the National Rail network.

Worcestershire Parkway Station

Securing funding, developing and managing the delivery of new strategic parkway station and regional interchange to support economic and population growth in South Worcestershire.

Coventry Station Masterplan

Coordinating and project-managing multiple, interconnected initiatives to transform Coventry Station and surrounding areas, to enhance facilities, improve parking and make better public transport connections.

Replacing Battenhall Rail Bridge

Project managing the extension of a rail bridge, using an innovative new approach to minimise cost and risk in this strategic upgrade of part of Worcestershire’s road network.

Coventry to Nuneaton Upgrade

Improving links between local economies with funding and project management of new stations at Coventry Arena and Bermuda Park, together with substantial track and signalling work and a new platform at Coventry Station.

With a vision to drive economic growth and support substantial population increases, the West Midlands Rail Executive commissioned a 30-year rail strategy to shape planning and prioritise investment across 14 diverse council areas.
